Dress codes

For all classes at the Nolte Academy –

No long earrings or jewelry.

No gum is allowed.

Creative Movement

• Your choice of leotard or dance dress; tights are optional
• Pink ballet shoes

Children’s Dance/Kinder Combo/1st 2nd GraDe Combo

• Your choice of leotard or dance dress; tights are optional
• Pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes
• No baggy clothing
• Skirts and tutus are optional

Ballet technique classes

Female dancers are required to wear solid colored leotards and pink tights over the foot for all levels. Hair need to be secured in a bun, braid or pinned down pony tail up and off of the neck and away from the eyes. Ballet shoes are required for all levels.

• Ballet 1 – Mint Green/Seafoam green leotard and pink tights
• Ballet 2 – Pastel pink leotard and pink tights
• Ballet 3 – Lavender leotard and pink tights
• Ballet 4 – Black leotard, pink tights and a white waist belt
• Ballet 5 – Black leotard, pink tights and a light blue waist belt
• Ballet 6 - Black leotard, pink tights and a royal blue waist belt
• Ballet 7 – Black leotard, pink tights and a light pink waist belt
  

Male dancers are to wear a white t-shirt, black tights/dancepants, a dancebelt and black slippers

Jazz/Modern/Lyrical/Tap/Hip Hop

• Dancewear only – leotards, half tops, dancepants, booty shorts
• Tights are optional
• The appropriate shoes are required for each specific class – you will not be allowed to take a tap class without tap shoes
• No baggy t-shirts, sweatshirts, pajama pants or oversized clothing allowed
• Hair must be secured away from your face so that it cannot whip you in the face
• Clean tennis shoes should be worn for hip hop
