BALLET DANCE INSTRUCTOR & CONCERT CHOREOGRAPHER
Type: In-Person | Weekly Commitment for Technique & Choreography | Three-quarter time
Salary: FT salary, Commensurate with experience

The Role:
Seeking a skilled ballet and pointe instructor with the ability to implement established curricula and class plans while fostering both a love of ballet and a strong sense of discipline and rigor. Adept at adapting expectations to support student growth across multiple programs, and valued as both a collaborative team player and dedicated teaching artist.
This position requires a seasoned ballet dance educator and choreographer with a strong foundation in ballet technique. The ideal candidate has a choreographic voice that speaks clearly to intermediate and advanced dancers—someone who creates work that challenges, excites, and elevates young performers while honoring their individual journeys.
What We're Looking For:
You bring a deep understanding of dance technique, and you use that knowledge to inform your ballet and pointe instruction. Your choreography is innovative yet accessible, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where mutual respect and artistic integrity are foundational. You connect with students as whole humans, guiding them with rigor and kindness.
You’ve likely taught and created work in pre-professional or professional settings, and you understand the demands and nuances of training serious young dancers. Whether preparing a group for competition or creating work for the stage, your focus remains on artistic growth and technical clarity.

- BFA or BA in dance, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years experience in ballet/pointe instruction
- Demonstrated ability to develop and follow instructive curriculum
- Educational emphasis on dance pedagogy
- Working knowledge of lighting and stage management
