Performing Arts Preschool – located within Nolte Academy – is now accepting students for the 2019-20 school year! We seek to develop the whole child — mind, body and spirit — during the vital learning window of the preschool years. We also foster academic readiness and honor creative abilities through a deeply enriching fine arts curriculum and prepare young minds and bodies for a creative world. Ages: 3-5 years of age. Students should be toilet-trained. 5-Day Morning Pre-Kindergarten for 4-5 year olds: M-F 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m. 3-Day Morning Preschool for 4 year olds: MWF 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m. 2-Day Morning Preschool for 3 year olds: TTH 9 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Many thanks for your patience with us rolling out new information for the upcoming year. We are excited about some studio changes, and know that across the board, these will benefit students and families! Registration for fall begins online on NolteAcademy.com at 10 am on Friday, July 5. Please read these changes and contact us with any questions. And please refer to the attached Tuition/Registration PDF for information about fees and answers to other questions. There are some changes, so please be sure to read it. In addition, all families are required to have a credit card or bank account on file before registering for classes. Studio-wide, we are adopting a different leveling system and thus, a studio-wide curriculum for classes. Ballet will follow the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) National Curriculum, and the rest of the studio will follow similarly with levels. Otherwise, Nolte dance classes will be re-leveled as follows: Previous Level Name New Level Name Level 1 Level A Level 2 Level B Level 3 Level 1 Level 4 Level 2 Level 5 Level 3 Level 6 Level 4 Level 7 Level 5 Level 8 Level 6 Similarly to leveled swimming, gymnastic and other organized teams, students will be presented with personalized options when selecting classes for the academic year. Beginning with (new) Level 3 classes, you may only register and attend the classes for which you are approved. Personalized class options will be printed (see sample attached) and highlighted for each student who has finished old Level 2 and above classes. These sheets will be available for pick up at Nolte Academy starting at noon on Thursday, June 27. Any sheets not picked up before noon on Saturday, June 29 will be mailed to families. Please refer to these sheets when selecting classes for the new year. You will also note that some classes state the level and “Recital +number.” Students must attend the +number of classes each week in order to participate in that particular recital class. For example, if you wish to enroll in Ballet 3 Recital+2 on Thursday, you must also take Ballet 3 two other times during the week. Other Ballet 3 classes are offered on Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun. Other Ballet 3 classes (without a Recital +) will not perform in the recital. New this fall, intermediate and advanced students may also enroll in daytime intensive classes. A separate email will follow for those eligible. We’re excited you’ll be joining us for our 20th Anniversary Season! It’s going to be the best one yet! |
