 Our competitive dance company — Affect — is holding auditions for our 2019-20 season during the week of August 19-22. To audition, interested dancers should enroll in Affect Camp through the Nolte Academy website. During that week, dancers will be evaluated. There are three levels within Affect: extensions• ages 6-8 (Affect Camp participation/audition not required) • introduction to competition team • separate rehearsals outside weekly dance classes,1-1.5 hours per week • dancers participate in two competitions and local performances affect• ages 6+ • serious-minded dancers participate in award-winning competition team • separate rehearsals outside minimum hours of weekly dance classes, 3+ hours per week • dancers participate in four regional competitions affect select• ages 11+ • most-committed (interested in training professionally) dancers participate in award-winning competition team • separate rehearsals outside minimum hours of weekly dance classes, 5+ hours per week • dancers participate in four regional competitions and option of one national competition Affect's Co-Directors are Kenny Borchard and Rylee Villhauer.  WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Any Nolte dancer enrolled for 2019-20 Ballet class (starting with those in Ballet A). En Pointe dancers should be enrolled in 3 classes per week. WHEN? TUESDAY, AUGUST 13 BALLET A/B: 4:30PM BALLET 1/2: 5:30PM BALLET 3/4: 6:30PM BALLET 5/6: 7:30PM ATTIRE: GIRLS: Leotard, tights, ballet shoes. BOYS: White or black t-shirt, black shorts or dance tights, ballet shoes. PERFORMANCE DATES: December 6-8 The Englert Theatre. Historically there have been two casts, many dancers participate in 3 of the 6 shows. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Beginning the week of August 26 and traditionally Fridays and Saturdays during the fall.
If you are unable to attend this audition time, please email us and we'll coordinate times to audition during the week of August 5. There is a performance/participation fee to cover instruction, studio time and costumes. |
