Nolte Productions Youth Theatre Returns!

After a five year hiatus, Nolte Productions Youth Theatre is making a BIG comeback in a BIG way!
We are thrilled to announce our 2023-2024 season, which comprises three award-winning junior musicals directed by Devon Stone, touring Broadway actor. Devon is joined by our amazing musical team of Erin Taylor and Kristen DeGrazia. Auditions slots for our first production, Anastasia, are open now!

Fall Musical:
Anastasia: The Musical (Youth Edition) for Grades 5-8
Performance dates: November 17-19, 2023
Performance location: ICON's Workshop Theatre

• Auditions: September 26-27, with callbacks as needed September 28

  • Audition requirements:
    • Girls: Prepare Journey to the Past or Once Upon A December 
    • Boys: Prepare My Petersburg or Once Upon A December
• Rehearsals begin October 4 (Wed, Thurs 6:30-8:30; Sat 12:30-2:30 from Oct 4-Nov 11)
  • Tech week: November 13-16 
  • All rehearsals will take place at ICON in the 2nd floor workshop theater

Devon Stone hails from Boston, Mass. and is excited for his new adventures in Iowa City. He played Hanschen in the Broadway National Tour of Spring Awakening. Regionally he's performed at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston, Fiddlehead Theatre Company, The Hanover Theatre, and Theater Uncorked including productions of Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas), Spring Awakening (Georg), Life Could Be a Dream (Skip), American Idiot (Johnny), Sweeney Todd (Quartet/Trio) and Me and my Girl (Gerald). As an educator, Devon spent five years as the resident director for the Alexander Children's Theatre School in Concord, MA where he directed high school productions including Spring Awakening, Into the Woods, and Head over Heels. He received his BFA from Boston Conservatory and will complete his MA in theatre education this fall from the University of Northern Colorado.
